Nuts are avoided during Phase 2 ‘Detox and Fat Burning’, then slowly reintroduced during Phase 3 Maintenance. If you dislike or respond negatively to certain nuts, we would recommend first trying a different nut or seed (i.e. cashews, walnuts, sunflower seeds etc.). 

If this is not suitable, then it is a great idea to try a nut butter, such as a pure peanut butter or tahini. These are often easier on the gut and allow for more people to enjoy their texture. Next we would recommend trying activated nuts - you can purchase activated nuts from health food stores or follow a recipe for yourself. 


If this still poses a challenge, you are able to substitute your nut portion for an additional portion of avocado or greek yoghurt. For example, instead of having nuts on day 13, you could consume an additional portion of avocado (total 80g avocado across the day).
